Tonnex get behind The Salvation Army Bushfire Appeal

TOTTENHAM, VIC – February 13, 2009 – As Australia is shocked with such devastating natural disasters, the true Aussie spirit shines through with so many individuals and business racing to support those families affected by the bushfires raging across Victoria. Computer consumables wholesaler; Tonnex International is pledging to donate $5 from every sales invoice from the 9th – 27th of February to assist with The Salvation Army Bushfire appeal.

Tonnex International Director, George Kozman was obviously touched by these events commenting, “It is truly devastating the impacts these disasters have had on so many families and as we talk with our friends, family and business partners we get a true indication of how wide spread the effect really is”.

Major Brad Halse, Communications Director for The Salvation Army said, “The Salvation Army is delighted with the overall support of the business community to help bushfire victims, and the offer from Tonnex as part of this is appreciated enormously"

Volunteer Salvation Army emergency teams are providing food and refreshments to thousands of fire fighters. They are also providing immediate counsel and practical support to victims who are congregating at relief centres across Victoria.

“We want to do all we can as a business and knowing the generosity of so many of our customers we will strive to provide as much financial assistance as possible” said Kozman.

“We are proud to assist the Salvation Army and admire the work that they and all volunteers do in these tough times. As a business we have always had a much wider focus and want to put back as much as we can into our community and hope that other business can also do the same”
